The Bay Alumni Foundation presents two scholarships annually to seniors who exemplify a dedication to community work and volunteerism – in the form of commitment to classmates, younger students in Bay Schools, and the citizens of Bay Village. Two scholarships will be awarded, each in the amount of $1,000.
The Bay High School Class of ‘66 scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior who has shown exceptional success in academics, gives back through community service, and exemplifies school spirit. The student must have plans to attend any accredited 4-year college, university, or a career technical school to further their education. One scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $1000.
We proudly announce this group of high-achieving, dedicated seniors from Bay High School as our 2023 Bay Alumni Foundation scholarship winners. What an impressive group of individuals who continue the wonderful Bay High commitment to academics, arts, athletics and community involvement.
Aliza has been involved in many school activities such as Key Club, Cheerleading, Flag Corps. She is also a member of the national Honor society, received an award for Triple Impact Competition, Scholarly Award and STNA License. She has been active in a community group Fairytale Foundation for the past two years. During her senior year she has worked at Malley’s
She plans on going into Nursing.
Jennifer has been active in many school activities such as Key Club, Ski Club, Broadcasting. She has been part of the Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra through her 4 years in High School and she also plays the piano. She was a member of the Golf team her Junior and Senior years. She is a member of the national Honor Society and also received an Academic Award. She has worked at White Oaks Restaurant, Bay Recreation Center and volunteers at the North Crest Equestrian Center. Jennifer plans on majoring in Engineering.
Miles has been active in many school activities such as Sources of Strength, Orchestra, Football all four years, and Track his Freshman, Junior and Senior years. Miles currently is working at Office Max. He is planning on majoring in Economics and is planning on attending Cleveland State University.
To a graduating Bay High senior who has been active in Bay High School’s Men’s or Women’s Basketball program.
Andrew has been awarded the 2023 Rich Voiers scholarship. Andrew displayed a deep commitment to the Bay High basketball program. He played all four years, as well as being a camp counselor and helping to continue the success that the program has experienced for decades. His dedication to the program that Coach Voiers built over his 31 years of head coaching shows the kind of allegiance that coach Voiers would be very proud of. His community service and his outstanding performance in the classroom made him a very worthy recipient.
